N is for NEW GOALS!✔️

Today's the last daily gif titled, "New Goals". ✔️
I'm a huge advocate for setting goals. I really don't think it matters how long it takes to achieve a goal, it's the hard work and consistency that gets you to the finish line.

N is for NATURE LOVER🏕️

Today's gif is titled "Nature Lover" 🏕️. Surrounded by trees, water and hiking trails is the way I like to relax and digital detox, no deadlines, no e-mails.😌 Tomorrow will be the last gif, based on the last letter of my name, N.

A is for ANIMATOR✨

Today's gif is based on the 6th letter in my name, A. The title is "Animator". I'm a 2D animator. 50% of the time this is what I look like while animating, the other 50% I'm most probably frowning. (/‿＼  )

Y is for YUMMY FOOD🍪

Hey everybody, here's the fifth letter in my name, Y. Today's gif is titled, "Yummy Things".🍪
This gif should sheds some light on how little self-control I have when it comes to sweet things. If only I could look this cute when I eat.

Just 3 more letters to go and then we'll be done! Tomorrow will be the letter A!

L is for LOVELY HUSBAND 🤵🍓

Day four and the fourth letter of my name is L, so the title of today's gif is,"Lovely Husband".🤵🍓
He makes me happy without trying, he owns many many hats and I love his jam dance which happens whenever a good amount of jam is being consumed. (There is a song that goes along with the jam dance, "Jam jam jaaaaam. Jam jam jaaaam.)❤️❤️❤️

L is for LOOONG BATHS🛀

It's the third day and today's letter is L, so today's gif is for Loooong Baths!🛀
I enjoy taking the time to soak and relax after a tough exercise but I haven't been able to enjoy this pastime due to the harsh drought that Cape Town is experiencing. Conserving water is essential and that means a shallow baths/quick showers and even then reusing the grey water to flush toilets & water plants. This is also why I've switched to eco-friendly soaps, I love the Earthsap range of products!<3

Tomorrow's gif will be based on the letter L again.

E is for ECO HOME 🏠♻️

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday morning! Today's gif is based on the second letter in my name, E. The artwork is titled, "Eco Home" 🏠♻️ because I'm in love with the idea of designing and building my own eco-friendly home where I can harvest rainwater and solar power!🌧️🌞It's sad that these type of homes aren't available on the property market today. I think the current generation are more in-tune with the concept of eco living and eager to lower their carbon foot print. It's a shame really because this is my idea of the perfect forever home.

I'll see you again tomorrow with a gif based on the third letter in my name, L.

K is for KILLER OF PLANTS 🥀💀

New daily art challenge! This will be a fun project where everyday I share info about myself through my artwork. My awesome friend Zoe (happy birthday!) and I have decided to do this challenge based on our names. We're thinking that these would be awesome hashtags! #NameArtChallenge #MeetMe #InTheNameOfArt

For every letter of my name I'll create an art piece that's relevant to that letter, so for the first letter of my name "K" I went with the title, "Killer of Plants". 🥀💀This pertains to the irrefutable fact that I'm horticulturally challenged. My full name is Kelly-Ann so my project will run for 8 days!

I've also decided to spice things up a little and instead of my usual watercolour paintings, I've gone with the medium of light-hearted animation gifs. I'm excited and can't wait to start sharing things about myself with you!

New E-mail Signature!

Hey everybody, I've created a new email signature!
I kept this adorable sausage dog super simple along with the limited animation. It's so darn cute.
I would really love to own my very own Dachshund some day and call it Stretch. #LifeGoals

Contact Page Animation - Part 2

A couple of months ago I started this little animation, I wanted to create a cute gif for my blog's contact page.   Here's the post about the beginning stages, Contact Page Animation - Work in Progress Part 1. The concept works around the tag,

Sending an e-mail is so much safer, get in touch!

I finally had the time to finish it and put it up under the contact tab. There are a few changes to the initial concept but I like the vignette styled background which complements the overall look.

Work In Progress Part 1- Character Design and Rigging

For a few weeks now, I've had this idea to make an animated gif for my blog's contact page.
Today I had the urge to rig the characters and I even got to do a quick test animation on the post box character.

The next step is to design and paint the watercolour background.

 Rough sketchbook thumbnails:

It's been a while since I've rigged and animated so I really enjoyed getting absorbed in the creative process of it all. Here's a quick video of a bit of the character rigging.
